Manager/Sr. Manager, People Operations

We are a team of seasoned drug discoverers and developers on a mission to bring forward a new generation of targeted therapies for the treatment of cancer and other diseases caused by protein dysregulation. The company employs a target-centric approach, focusing on scientifically validated drivers of disease that have eluded conventional therapeutic modalities. Cedilla identifies functionally relevant proteoforms, or protein states, creating novel opportunities for therapeutic intervention.

You are a mission-driven leader who is passionate about elevating Cedilla’s “Teach and Learn” culture by designing and building initiatives supporting career growth, employee development and connectedness between members of our growing team.

We view you as a naturally curious and thoughtful collaborator who can help raise our people and culture game. Your role will include:

  • Partnering with team members to develop and deploy programs, technology and data-driven efforts promoting high-performance, engagement and connectedness across the organization
  • Collaborating with managers to understand and pre-empt needs related to employee engagement, talent development and employee relations
  • Providing leadership and guidance in facilitating employee relations matters in a positive and proactive manner to ensure appropriate resolution and follow through
  • Championing a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace via employee development efforts, partnerships with non-profits, educational offerings and by evolving practices and policies to support DEI initiatives
  • Partnering with leadership to develop a talent branding strategy and execute plans to convey Cedilla’s culture to attract, engage and interact with prospective candidates and talent communities
  • Managing employee benefit plans and partnering with the Head of People & Culture to assess needs and implement new plans consistent with competitive trends

Some of the highlights of your background are:

  • You enjoy balancing the strategic with the operational, and rolling up your sleeves
  • Collaborating is your default when it comes to problem solving and creative exploration
  • You prioritize relationships, and are able to earn influence by building trust and credibility with your colleagues
  • You know what good looks like when it comes to program design and delivery, and you have an eye for continuous improvement
  • You are comfortable starting the day with a clear plan and changing it after your first cup of coffee
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred, but not required…and you will probably need 7+ years of experience to perform well in this role
